This morning the Councillor Silvia Piani presented the initiatives planned by the Lombardy Region, for the month of November on the occasion of the November 25th anniversary, identified by the UN as International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

On November 19th, there will be a rock concert in the Città di Lombardia Square, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm: the event is to raise awareness among high school students on the issue of gender violence. Two musical groups will be performing, the JC Band and the Drum Theatre. Moreover, testimonials will be present on stage, the NSDS APP and a contest of ideas, dedicated to schools for the creation of the 2019 #NONSEIDASOLA campaign, will be launched.

On November 20th, during the council session dedicated to the fight against gender violence, the Regional Councillors will wear the orange t-shirt symbol of the #NONSEIDASOLA campaign.

On November 22nd at 2:00 pm in Città di Lombardia Square, President Attilio Fontana and Councillor Silvia Piani will set down a red bench with a celebratory plaque for November 25th, commemorating women victims of violence.

The Lombardy Region will finally join the “Orange the World” UN campaign and from November 23rd to 25th the 39th floor of Palazzo Lombardia will therefore be lit up in orange while Palazzo Pirelli will illuminate the inscription #NONSEIDASOLA.
