Covid 19 Emergency: the work of Anti-Violence Centres to protect women does not stop.

The emergency due to Covid-19 requires people to stay at home during these weeks to avoid contagion of the virus.

This is a situation that can be particularly delicate and at risk for all those women who experience mistreatment or violence at home at the hands of their cohabitants.

We would like to remind these women that the Anti-Violence Centres of the Lombardy Region continue to guarantee support services and helplines available 24 hours a day. Moreover, in case of need of direct contacts, these will be possible provided that the safety measures imposed by the regulations are respected, that is, keeping one meter distance among people and the use of protective devices.

Finally, please be aware that the national helpline 1522, which networks with Anti-Violence Centres, is available at any time. In addition, the online chat is now active to ensure the possibility of asking for help to all women who in these days are in close contact with their abuser.

Anti-violence services do not stop during Covid 19 and continue to assist and support women in difficulty: check the file attached to this page for the times and services available in the Anti-Violence Centres closest to you.
